Lying Officers Irk Kgatleng Councillors

The councillors wanted council officers to answer questions under oath during full council meetings because the latter often gave false information to the former. The mover of the motion, Thabo Komane of Ntshinoge ward, said officers gave inacurate informaion about development projects in the districts, thinking that councillors were ignorant enough not to integorate issues.
“This will help us deal with problems in the district better because officers have a tendency to protray their departments like health and schools in good light when citizens are on the contrary crying for services,” he said in an interview.
