Lesetedi fears most drug lords are Batswana

Informed by the ongoing drug raids, police suspect that a majority of Batswana might be depending on drugs for a living, something that hinders their efforts to curb their smuggling.

The Botswana Police Service (BPS) director of crime intelligence, Nunu Lesetedi told Mmegi recently that despite their ongoing raids, which some having been made public through different media platforms as a way of sending a clear message to potential dealers, more Batswana are being arrested on a daily basis in possession of drugs. 

Lesetedi said it appears that most people sell drugs for a living hence could not desist from smuggling them into the country despite their raids.
