Methaetsile Leepile, and his successor at Mmegi, Titus Mbuya, were on Friday granted the right to take control of the Mmegi Group of Companies.

The High Court in Gaborone directed that the duo rightly own majority stake, 51percent in the company following the purchase of 30 percent of shares in the holding company, Mmegi Investment Holdings (MIH), which were sold by Mmegi Publishing Trust (MPT) earlier this year.

The case stemmed from concerted opposition from three of the would-be purchasers (Monageng Mogalakwe, Burton Mguni and Pako Kedisitse), who also happened  to be directors of the holding company, the MIH - and   three trustees of the vehicle that owned the shares in  MIH - Thulaganyo Mogobe (chairman of MPT),  Barolontg Seboni (deputy)   and Chimbidzani Chimidza.
