Khato Civils boss hits back

Khato Civils chairperson, Simbi Phiri has come hard on critics who are ascribing his winning of government tenders to favouritism, saying his capacity is beyond many, due to the type of machinery that he has invested in.

“A project that will be done in seven years by another contractor is something I do within a few months due to investments in my capacity, and this should not be interpreted as saying some contractors do not have the capacity, or that I look down upon other contractors,” Phiri said in an interview.

He was asked of what he thought of recent insinuations that he may have been a beneficiary of favouritism as alleged by some people.
