Khama to open Damuchujenaa projects

SELEBI-PHIKWE: President Ian Khama will officially open projects at Damuchujenaa village in the Bobirwa Sub-district tomorrow.

The projects are the Kgotla office, Sedibe Primary School, disaster single-room structures and a bus stop shelter.Selebi-Phikwe Lions Club president Siva Prasad told Mmegi in an interview yesterday that they built the bus shelter after being approached by Mmadinare Member of Parliament (MP) and Minerals, Energy and Water Resources Minister, Ponatshego Kedikilwe. He said residents had been complaining to their MP about being drenched by rain and suffering under weather conditions when waiting for transport. He explained that the construction of the shelter was made possible by the donation by Seema Enterprises.

He said the shelter was built at a cost of P30, 000. "Lions Club does not have funds and that is why I took the decision to ask for assistance from Seema, which is my family business that is operated by my wife, daughter and son. They did not give me any problems when I asked for the donation because they have been involved in community activities before and they are also Lions Club members," he said.
