Khama slams Trump again

President Ian Khama has for the third time publicly taken a jab at US Presidential aspirant Donald Trump. In the most recent offensive contained in a statement, he labelled the blanket ban on Russian athletes by the International Paralympics Committee (IPC) ‘Donald Trump style ban ’.

Responding to a questionnaire from Mmegi, press secretary to the President, Gobe Pitso, would not state whom Khama would prefer as the next US President, suffice to point out that it could not be the character of the candidate of the Republicans, Trump.

Pitso noted that for Khama, it is the person who will deliver on building upon past good relations between Botswana and the US, as well as maintain peace and stability in their country and around the world. A person who is not racist, divisive and arrogant, a peoples person and not driven by self-interest.
