FRANCISTOWN: As has become the norm in recent times, on Saturday, Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) president, Ian Khama welcomed opposition party members at the Phillip Matante East by-election campaign rally.

The new members, from the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD), were received at Montsamaisa Junior Secondary School (MJSS) when Khama kick started a busy campaign weekend.

The BDP is contesting the by-election, slotted for April 23, with the opposition coalition of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), whose membership includes BMD, Botswana National Front, Botswana Peoples Party and the new recruit to the fold, Botswana Congress Party.
