Members of Parliament sitting in the Committee on Statutory Bodies recently slammed involvement of Ministers Tshekedi Khama and Tshenolo Mabeo in the daily running of Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) and Air Botswana respectively.  Minister for Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism Tshekedi Khama recently came under fire for authorising a total of P88 million from the BTO coffers in absence of the board of directors. Khama told the committee that the CEO who refuted the claims misled him.

Mabeo who now heads Employment, Labour Productivity and Skills Development Ministry was slammed by the chairperson of the committee Moyo Guma for undertaking an overseas trip to meet with shortlisted suppliers of aircrafts ahead of Air Botswana re-fleeting.
