Kgosikwena Sebele 'stock theft' judgement today

Molepolole Magistrate will today pass judgement, in a case in which former Bakwena regent and president of customary court of the appeal, Kgosikwena Sebele is facing a single count of stock theft.

Sebele is accused of stealing a billy goat worth P800 belonging to Mhiko Gabatlale of Sojwe. The accused, represented by Shame Taimu of Taimu Legal Practice, pleaded not guilty to the charge and maintained that he bought the goat from a certain Tekana Pebe.
The goat had the brand mark, Letsekana on the left ear.

He argued that the billy goat was his and the brand had been tampered with, a view, which was supported by his witnesses.
