Kgosi Bathoen�s land duel reaches the Land Tribunal

The Ngwaketse Land Board is not ready to easily let go a piece of land that is said to have belonged to the late Bangwaketse Paramount Chief Kgosi Bathoen Gaseitsewe.

The Land Board is now entangled in a bitter legal war that has reached the Land Tribunal with one Bethuel Mphafe said to be the rightful owner the land, which he bought from the bogosi.

The disputed grazing land in the Papajathama location measuring eight by eight km buffer radius was allegedly passed by Kgosi Bathoen to his heir Kgosi Seatla Gaseitsewe, who then sold it to the late Mphafe and his wife Bunny Mphafe.
