In yet another shocking incident, a 70-year-old man of Mosu in Boteti is being held by police for investigation following a rape on his six-year-old neighbour's child.

Following the incident on Wednesday last week, the man, a kgosana, was arrested the same week after the child was rushed for medical assistance in Francistown.

Superintendent Michael Maphephu said preliminary investigations point to the suspect as the culprit in the matter, adding that the man was likely to be arraigned in court on Monday. According to Maphephu, when police visited the scene of the crime following a report from the child's mother, they discovered bloody sheets and bloody toilet paper as evidence of what had happened.
