Member of Parliament (MP) for Selebi-Phikwe West and Botswana Congress Party (BCP) legislator, Dithapelo Keorapetse is challenging his recent suspension from Parliament in court.

Keorapetse who is the youngest MP, through his lawyer Onalethata Kambai, has issued a statutory notice with an intention to sue the Speaker of the National Assembly, Gladys Kokorwe for her decision to suspend him from Parliament duties for a week.

The MP, who intends to contend his suspension on grounds that it was done without due process, was last week Thursday together with Gaborone North MP Haskins Nkaingwa, suspended from Parliament after rising on a point of procedure.
