Judgement reserved in Richard, National Assembly case

The Gaborone High Court has reserved judgement in a case in which the Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) president, Khumoekae Richard approached court seeking to halt his disciplinary proceedings by the National Assembly.

Justice Gaolapelwe Ketlogetswe yesterday stayed the disciplinary proceedings against Richard until Friday when he will give judgement on the matter.

Richard, who was supposed to appear before the disciplinary committee for alleged illegal political activism while employed under the Public Service Act, moved the urgent application to interdict the National Assembly from continuing with the disciplinary process.
