Judge describes BDP process as a sham

Justice Tshepo Motswagole is worried that a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) activist Whyte Marobela who petitioned the party recently to order it to decide his appeal was not listened to.

Speaking yesterday at Lobatse High Court, Motswagole said the BDP could have invited Marobela so that he motivates his appeal. “What worries me is the failure to invite the applicant to come and motivate his appeal. It was quite clear it was a case in which somebody could have been invited to motivate his case.

That is what worries me in this case why the applicant was not invited to come and clarify some grey areas in his appeal,” said Motswagole.
