Japan donates to Botswana Red Cross

The Embassy of Japan to Botswana has donated $215,000 (approximately P1,780,000) to the Botswana Red Cross Society.

The contract for the grant was concluded and signed by the Ambassador of Japan to Botswana, Hiroyasu Kobayashi, and the Secretary General of Botswana Red Cross Society, Mabel Rammekwa, in Gaborone last Friday.

"The funds are intended to go towards construction of classrooms and hostels at Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre that is run by the Botswana Red Cross Society," say a press statement from the embassy.
