The small village in Tutume Sub district that lies along the Orapa-Francistown Road was named after a pond on the eastern outskirts of the village and has a population of less than 1,000 consisting mainly of Basarwa.
Mud huts with rickety doors and worn out walls, a manifestation of abject poverty that the people here wallow in, dominate the landscape of the village, which is a hamlet, really.
