Invigilator Beats Students

An inexperienced invigilator who allegedly beat up two students during trial exams last Wednesday has raised the ire of teachers and students at Marulamantshi Junior Secondary School in Gaborone who have expressed shock at the incidents.

Known as 'Edward', the invigilator employed by the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) is said to have beaten up the Form Three students on different occasions.

One of the boys from Old Naledi, Keabetswe Mosimanyana suffered a swollen face after the invigilator allegedly slapped him. Sources at the school said the invigilator attacked him after he had an altercation with another student when they were writing a Moral Education paper.
