Improper claim forms delay markers' payments

The national examination body, Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has attributed delays in the payment of subsistence allowances to more than 1,000 teachers who just completed marking the Standard Seven exams to improper filling of claim forms.


BEC spokesperson Charles Keikotlhae said previously examiners were paid living allowances during the marking period and they had intended to do the same this year but the challenges experienced did not allow for such.
