Outgoing Botswana National Front (BNF) vice-president Olebile Gaborone still denies allegations that he is on his way out of the party.

Prior to the recent BNF central committee elections Gaborone, who is also MP for South East North told Mmegi that Duma Boko is not a legitimate presidential candidate. Gaborone actually pulled out of the presidential race, claiming that he was averting possible violence at the polls.  After the elections, Boko emerged president and since then there have been rumours that Gaborone is considering quitting the party in protest. Sources close to him have also revealed that Gaborone has a dim view of the new BNF leadership and that he is on his way out. However Gaborone insists that he is not going anywhere.

"I never said I am going anywhere. Where did you get that?" he asked? When approached for comment, another presidential candidate Gabriel Kanjabanga refused to comment.
