How the artist relates to party politics

At the sub-editor's desk passed a story that reported that Afro pop musician, Ashley Gops, had declared his love for the Botswana Movement for Democracy.

The story said one of his main reasons for his inviolable love for the BMD is his perception that the new Liqour Act, passed under the watch of the old Botswana Democratic Party, brought about 'the collapse of the entertainment industry" because of shortened hours of performance and, presumably, the unattractiveness of venues where adults are denied the right of choice of the beverage or type of food they want to have.

Ashley, according to the story, finds no purpose in declining to speak out about this perceived injustice because the other artists fear denial of corporate shows and invitation to government sponsored concerts.
