JWANENG: Shima Gwase, who caused havoc in previous mentions, finally settled down on Friday to receive his judgment. The 36-year-old, who disappeared for three months after the close of his stock theft case, was arrested and brought before court last month, where he insulted magistrate Odirile Mokgatle.

Then, as prison warders and the police escorted him to the dock, Gwase caused a scene and threatened to sort out the magistrate as soon as he is released from prison. He threw insults at Mokgatle as he walked out and his bail was ultimately revoked and he was sent to prison. The magistrate also ordered that Gwase be administered seven strokes for misconduct.

Gwase has been convicted of stealing a cow and selling it to a bereaved family in Ranaka village in exchange of a donkey cart.
