'Health care discriminates against the deaf'

FRANCISTOWN: Francistown City Council deputy mayor, Godisang Radisigo said that deaf people are generally discriminated against within the health care system, due to poor communication.

He revealed this recently at the official launch of the first ever Human Immune Virus (HIV) testing services at Francistown Centre for Deaf Education. 

When addressing multitudes of attendants, Radisigo said that the deaf community faced many barriers in communication, which make it difficult for them to access HIV/AIDS information.
