A Motswana serial robber with a reputation of escaping custody, Goitsemodimo Sekgokong, is languishing in a Zimbabwean jail after he was caught shortly after attempting to rob a bank while also in possession of marijuana.

According to The Chronicle newspaper, members of the public apprehended the 45-year-old as he fled after setting off an alarm alongside an unidentified accomplice at the Standard Chartered Bank in Masvingo in Zimbabwe.

“On May 6 at around 11pm the two accused went to the bank and climbed over a gate into the yard.  The two disabled five security cameras placed in different positions outside the building. Their mission was however, cut short as they, in the process of disabling another security camera, triggered an alarm on the premises,” read the paper.
