Green Scorpions Guard Gaborone Environs

Keneilwe Moseki, the projects manager of the environmental group, Somarelang Tikologo, has welcomed the appointment of waste management enforcement teams that have been nicknamed 'green scorpions'.

The Department of Waste Management and Air Pollution Control recently deployed 30 of the 'green scorpions' in Gaborone, Mogoditshane and Tlokweng.

Welcoming the move, Moseki said the officers should have been appointed in 1998 when the Waste Management Act was passed.
