Granny raped in front of her grandchildren

PALAPYE: Mahalapye police are investigating a case in which a 55-year-old granny was raped at Madiba ward on Friday night.

According to Mahalapye police station commander, Superintendent Isaac Mmamadi, a young man aged below 25 years raped the old woman.

“The matter was reported to us by neighbours on Friday night, that an old woman was raped by a young man, who upon seeing them escaped the scene. The victim told us that when the young man arrived at her house, he demanded sex from her, which she refused. He then threatened the old woman with a knife forcing her to lie down, “said Mmamadi.
