Govt Mum On Sowa Town Council Dissolution

FRANCISTOWN: The fuel allowances feud between the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) and the eight Sowa Town Council (STC) councillors seems to have dissipated despite the intensity the matter exuded when it began.

STC is made up of nine councillors, out of which only one is from a ward in the Nata-Gweta constituency where STC is situated while the rest are specially nominated councillors. 

The current situation forces the eight specially nominated councillors to incur some transport expenses whenever they have to attend various STC errands in Sowa Town (also known as Sowa Pan).
