Govt employee found murdered

MAUN: A man was brutally killed by unknown assailants at his rented house in Boyei Ward last Thursday morning.

The attackers smashed the door to enter the house and stabbed him with a sharp instrument. The victim died outside his neighbours' home where he tried to seek help. Apparently, its two female occupants were too scared to open the door for him but instead called the police by cell phone.

Some police officers arrived several hours late and denied ever receiving a call at around 0200hours when the deceased was attacked. Maun Station Commander Robson Maleka has vowed to take disciplinary measures against any police officers who might have received, the call but failed to attend to the emergency promptly.
