Give IEC more resources- Goya

Commenting on the budget allocation for the IEC on Wednesday, Goya said the IEC should also be provided with sufficient resources and staff to cover areas where it does not have offices instead of having members of the public travel long distances to access IEC services.
He said employees of the IEC work long and odd hours without overtime pay and that, in some instances, officers of the IEC are unable to do their work when drivers are not on duty.
While it is widely acknowledged that Khama holds the title of Kgosi, the government’s failure to properly gazette his recognition has raised serious concerns about adherence to legal procedures and the credibility of traditional leadership.
