GIPS offers discount on tuition

Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies (GIPS) has undertaken to give self-sponsored students a discount on tuition fees to encourage them to pursue careers of choice.

Speaking to Mmegi at the institution's open day at its Gaborone campus, the public relations officer, Neo Tlhaselo said GIPS is offering a discount on tuition fees for all levels of self sponsored students. "We had reserved 65 seats but there are now only 40 seats left. We are planning on increasing them as per demand," Tlhaselo said.

Tlhaselo explained that the objective of the open day was to showcase programmes and facilities offered by the institution to prospective students and their parents. She said it was also an opportunity for them to meet and interact with lecturers who are more familiar with the course contents. "More so that they can advise the students on which career paths they can follow after completing their studies," Tlhaselo said.
