FRANCISTOWN: Police are investigating an unsettling incident where a 23-year-old man died after spending nine days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Speculation about the circumstances suggests he may have been poisoned during a night out at a local club, adding to the disconcerting trend of alcohol-related incidents in the nightlife scene in Francistown, also known as Ghetto.

The young man, identified as a Botswana Accountancy College student, reportedly collapsed and began vomiting blood after a night out with friends at the said club. Following his collapse, he was rushed to the hospital and subsequently admitted to the ICU, where he regrettably succumbed to his condition nine days later.
