BOCODOL Boss Explains Failure Of New Technology
The executive director of the Botswana College of Open and Distance Learning (BOCODOL), Dr Daniel Tau has said that innovations in professions such as teaching fail mostly because they are not well received by the professionals who are supposed to utilise them.

 
Speaking at the launch of the SMART technologies in schools (pilot) project in Gaborone yesterday, Tau urged the teaching profession to embrace new technology to lift learning to higher levels.

He implored those in the profession not resist new or unknown technology. He said that innovations such as the SMARTboard challenge the tried and tested methods deployed by teachers over the years.
