Former headman appeals incest case

FRANCISTOWN: A former headman at Masunga village who was sentenced to six years in jail for defiling his biological daughter in 2007 is appealing his conviction and sentence before Justice Phadi Solomon.

The applicant, who was 60-years-old when he defiled his 12-year-old daughter at Newstands, appeared in the Fraincistown High Court yesterday.

The accused’s attorney Morgan Moseki told the court that some pages from the record of proceedings from the lower court that convicted him were missing.
