Five Die In Accident Near Pilane

A horrific accident along the A1 road, near Pilane Landfill claimed five lives Saturday afternoon. A female police officer stationed at Broadhurst Police Station has been confirmed as one of the five.

The accident happened around 4pm in what looked like a head-on collision following one of the vehicles experiencing a tyre burst. The accident involved a Toyota Land Cruiser, which was heading north and a Land Rover Discovery, going the opposite direction.

The district traffic officer of District No 12 (Mochudi), Peter Tsheboeng confirmed the accident, stating, “Five people lost their lives in the accident. We will withhold their names for now as their families are still being consulted”.
