Farming resumes along Boteti River

Farming has resumed along the Boteti River banks after years of inactivity caused by prolonged drought and unreliable rainfall.

Boteti farmers have taken advantage of the rains upstream to work on their fields early and many forecast a good harvest this year given the high moisture on their farms.

One of the farmers, Tibisano Tumelano told Mmegi that the benefit of being near the river is that they do not rely wholly on rainfall to start ploughing.
