Family summon police over killed suspect

The family of a 26-year-old man who recently died mysteriously after sustaining fatal injuries while under police care is demanding answers. The suspect, Tshupelo Bokang who reportedly died at Princess Marina Hospital on April 10, 2016 four days after being hosptalised, is alleged to have jumped out of a moving police vehicle, something that the family is skeptical about.

According to the family lawyer, Malcolm Gobhoza, the family is now seeking answers for closure and now wants a detailed report from the police on what transpired on that fateful day.

Gobhoza told this publication that so far the police have only told them that Bokang  jumped out of the moving vehicle after he was apprehended at his home in Gabane following a misunderstanding with his girlfriend. “The family are only seeking answers to what really happened because for now the police are claiming that the deceased jumped and fell on the ground, something that led to his death,” he said.
