Ex-UBSRC president expelled

Former University of Botswana Student Representative Council (UBSRC) president, Khumoekae Richard has been expelled from the country's highest institution of learning.

The final year Bachelor of Sciences student received a letter last Friday stating that he was dismissed, de-registered and expelled from the institution. The charges are running concurrently.  Furthermore, the communication stated that the university "reserves every right to reject or accept his re-application after a period of two academic years". 

Richard has allegedly been expelled for masterminding and orchestrating student demonstrations early this year.
