Electricity kills three in Kweneng

The Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) has launched investigations after three people recently died from electric shocks in Kweneng District.


BPC marketing and communications manager, Spencer Moreri, told Mmegi that they are aware of the deaths and a probe is on to find out what happened and whether compensation can be paid. He said that BPC has risk insurance, which deals with cases where people get injured or die from electric faults. He said that if investigations prove that BPC was responsible for the deaths and injuries they will compensate the families of the victims.
