Eet-sum-more hitmaker dies

Legendary gospel singer, Mmereki Marakakgoro(51) died in a road mishap earlier today near Morupule mine in Palapye. The Monitor has learnt that the "Eet-sum-more" hit maker died on the spot after his Toyota Surf hit a donkey and overturned along Palapye/Serowe around 4am.

Even though Palapye Station commander, Superintendent Molly Lebala-Moduke could not confirm if the deceased was Marakakgoro, she confirmed to be investigating the fatal accident.

"Names of the deceased are still withheld because we have not yet informed all of his family members. The deceased was in company of a 31-year-old man who escaped the accident with minor injuries. The deceased sustained serious head injuries," Lebala-Moduke said.
