GANTSI: Two men accused of murdering a 44 year-old woman, Reinette Johanna Vorster of Okwa Valley appeared before Gantsi Magistrate, Thabo Malambane on Tuesday.

Tshiamo Kgalalelo, 29 and Mmika Mpe, 24 are facing four counts of rape, robbery, murder and arson. The two Werda men were employed as labourers at the Vorsters’ Farm. They are said to have killed Johanna Vorster last week, after robbing her of Blackberry cellphone, Nokia phone, Toyota Hilux and P11,000. After the killing they are said to have burnt her and the vehicle. It was not clear as to whether the vehicle was set alight with the woman inside.

After the charges were read, Kgalalelo almost caused a scene in court with a lengthy delay before responding to the magistrate's questions. "Ga ke ikutlwe sentle kea hupela. (I am not feeling well, I am suffocating)," he said but the magistrate warned him not to play games and talk.
