FRANCISTOWN: The Member of Parliament for Francistown West constituency, Ignatius Moswaane has complained about the rampant use of drugs and alcohol amongst students calling the drug dealers witches.

He said this during the handover of the new Gerald Estate Junior Secondary School recently. Moswaane said the students’ behaviour, which most of the time is influenced by the use of drugs, is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. He said acting under the influence of drugs and alcohol, students continue to misbehave, riot, vandalise school property, abuse fellow students and staff, hence the need to seriously address this issue.

The MP said in the past, some street vendors were caught selling drugs to students something that the school management and leadership of Gerald Estate should be prepared for.
