Dikgosi want five-year term for office

Dikgosi want the terms served by the chairperson and the deputy of the Ntlo ya Dikgosi extended from one year to five years, equivalent to a parliamentary term.

Addressing the opening of the 14th meeting, the newly re-elected chairperson, Kgosi Puso Gaborone, stated that chiefs have submitted proposals to amend the rules of procedures governing the traditional house of legislators to Vice President Ponatshego Kedikilwe.

One of the proposals is to change the duration of the terms served by the leaders of the House.
