Dikgatlhong water to reach Gaborone in 2016

Southeastern Botswana will get water from the newly built 400 million-cubic-metre Dikgatlhong Dam in 2016. The biggest dam in the country is currently overflowing.

Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) communications manager, Matida Mmipi said that construction of pipelines from the dam to the southern part of the country will reach Moralane, 75km from the source, in May.

The second phase of construction will be a 78-kilometre pipeline from Moralane to Palapye. It is expected to be complete in December this year.
