Diamond Trust Injects P14.9m On Tsodilo

TSODILO HILLS: The Diamond Trust, a partnership between Debswana and De Beers, has injected P14.9 million into the development of Tsodilo Hills. This was said by the De Beers resident director, Neo Moroka at the official opening of the Tsodilo Rhino Trail Staircase by President Ian Khama on Friday.

Moroka, who is also a Debswana Board member, said the Tsodilo Hills World Heritage Site Integrated Management Plan project is the first and only project that the Diamond Trust has undertaken since it was set up in 2007.

“We believe that although the people of Tsodilo are far from places where the diamonds are mined, they too have a right to feel the positive impact of the diamonds,” said Moroka.

The Projects Magazine today launched The Future of Mining Summit, set to become the country’s premier mining conference. The event is scheduled for 12th and 13th of June 2024, at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone.
