Delegates from Akita University, Japan, including the Deputy Dean of Faculty of International Resource Sciences and four of her students will conduct site visits in Botswana from October 23 to November 11, 2016.

During that period, the delegates are scheduled to visit a diamond mine, diamond industries, government institutions, Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), University of Botswana (UB), JOGMEC Geological Remote Sensing Centre, JICA Botswana Office, as well as Embassy of Japan.  Akita University has been in partnership with UB and BIUST, and through the Japanese Government scholarship, numbers of postgraduate students from Botswana have been studying at Akita University until today.
