FRANCISTOWN: Kazungula police station commander, superintendent Vusimusi Jorowe has stated that a total of three cases of defilement have been reported at his station since the beginning of the year.

Jorowe said cases of defilement are worrisome. He confirmed a recent case in which a 12-year-old girl was defiled by a known assailant who is still on the run.

“Its mid year but we have already recorded three cases of defilement. This number may sound small to other people but we are talking about minors being sexually abused,” said Jorowe.
