Gobuamang Ntsuape, a death row inmate and double murder convict, has said he was provoked beyond the limit when he wrestled the steering wheel with the driver of a moving police van in an incident that caused the death of the officer and a fellow prisoner.

Ntsuape, who was convicted last year after pleading guilty to two counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder, said this on Thursday when he appeared for mitigation before Gaborone High Court judge, Barnabas Nyamadzabo.

The convict has been on death row since May 12, 2022 for killing the mother of his ex-girlfriend.
