De Beers' relocation prompts Diamond Park expansion

Construction has begun on a P75 million expansion to the Diamond Technology Park (DTP) which will see developers putting up a fourth building in the park in response to the diamond industry's rapid growth in Botswana.

The expansion of the DTP is also in preparation for the higher business activities linked to the relocation of De Beers’ sightholder sales business from London to Gaborone.

This development is another step following the DTP’s expansion in 2012 with the three-storey diamond trading facility (the Okavango House).
