Cycling duo to ride for the needy

BOROLONG: Two cyclists will ride from Gaborone to Borolong in a bid to raise funds for a disadvantaged villager in need of shelter. Borolong locals, Gunnar Sejlitz, 70, and 33-year-old Darius Mlambo, will cycle 435 kilometres for a week, starting at the Airport Junction. Mlambo said the cycling trip would be launched at Airport Junction in Gaborone on July 1, 2016.

He said the journey would commence on July 2 and is expected to last seven days when they reach their destination, Borolong, on July 9. He said those interested in joining the race, for any distance, can purchase tickets for P50 at the launch.

“We are calling out for interested individuals to join us at the launch and buy tickets to join us when we depart the following day,” Mlambo said.  From Gaborone the cyclists will travel through villages along the A1 road until they reach Francistown on July 9.
