Court sets date for Marobela decision

Justice Godfrey Nthomiwa will deliver judgement on Monday in the case in which politician Whyte Marobela claims that the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) did not follow due process in honouring a High Court order.


The order was issued by Justice Tshepo Motswagole, compelling the BDP to give Marobela a hearing in his appeal against the loss he suffered to Ignatius Moswaane in the primaries for the Francistown West by-election. Marobela said the BDP failed to invite him to the hearing in which it determined that Moswaane would represent the party in the by-election.
