Court postpones G/North murder gang case

The Village Magistrate Court has postponed the case in which five men are accused of murdering a night watchman at a farm in Gaborone North last year.

The matter, which is due to be committed to the High Court after assessing evidence to establish a murder, will be heard on September 19 before chief magistrate Linah Oahile-Mokibe. Standing in for Oahile-Mokibe yesterday, senior magistrate Goodwill Makofi postponed the matter and extended bail for three of the men.

“The first and second accused will remain in custody, whilst bail will be extended for the other three,” he said, adding that the two have other cases pending.
